As announced Friday last week, Microsoft released 3 security bulletins and according updates on the November 2010 Patchday. Vulnerable software from the Redmond company is Microsoft Office and the Forefront Unified Access Gateway. The updates fix altogether 11 security vulnerabilities; only the Office update is rated critical though as one security hole allows for infecting computers just by surfing the net. The other vulnerabilities need actions from the user like opening documents and thus are only rated important by Microsoft.
As expected, an update for the newly discovered security hole in the Internet Explorer isn’t finished yet. Anyhow, users and administrators should apply the updates as soon as possible as they are being exploited soon.
